Cadence Group Class
Insurance Information

If you would like to consider using your private physiotherapy insurance to cover the cost of a small group class at Cadence Physiotherapy, you must:

  1. Ensure your private insurance policy will cover group physiotherapy sessions (you must call them yourself).

  2. In order to be able to submit to your own insurance, you must:

    1. See a Physiotherapist at Cadence Physiotherapy for an assessment prior to the start of the small group class sessions

    2. During the physiotherapy session, the Physiotherapist will determine if the class is appropriate for you, or if there are any limitations or adjustments that need to be made by the instructor). - consider this process is similar to your doctor needing to write a script for a brace in order for insurance to cover it

    3. If the Physiotherapist decides you are appropriate for the small group class, they will refer you to the class, and you can sign up and pay for the class on your own or with our admin team.

    4. Follow up with the Physiotherapist after the 6 classes (eligible over a 12 week period) are over, for a reassessment.

  3. If you do decide to go through insurance, you will pay for the class front and we will provide you with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance. We do not direct bill for group classes, you will receive an invoice with the physiotherapist’s registration number on it to submit on your own to your insurance company. Missed classes cannot be submitted to insurance.

please note that these requirements are set in place by our regulatory body, the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario,
and as such we cannot make accommodations to this process.
